This Dream Journal Turns Familiar Symbols Into Constellations
DreamBuddy’s October update counts the images that recur across your dreams, connects them in a sky and builds a shareable personality card from ten different symbols.
DreamBuddy has given its dream journal a sky. In an October 27 update, each recorded dream becomes a star, while symbols that recur across entries form constellations. Collect ten different symbols and the app produces a named “dream sign” to share.
The app puts details from separate nights beside each other. In the developer's example, the sea appears in four dreams, the moon and home in two each, and a train in one. The Symbols tab counts those appearances; the home screen connects them with lines. It gives someone keeping a journal a way to spot familiar images across entries.

An entry starts with the dream in the user's own words and a choice of reader character. The feeling attached to it, such as peaceful, happy, strange or scary, sets the star's colour. The AI-written interpretation supplies symbols that accumulate in the journal; the dream map can also be browsed month by month.
Ten distinct symbols unlock a personality card. The store's example is called Night Rain. It has its own constellation, a predominantly water character, the Moon and an Aquarius Sun sign. The sea, moon and home that were counted on the previous screen now feed into a description of a person.

That Aquarius label has another possible input. The developer's October 26 privacy policy says the AI receives dream symbols and their calculated element balance for the personality reading. If the user has entered a birth date, it also receives the resulting Sun sign. The screenshot does not show the app guessing someone's birthday from dreams. The developer describes these readings as entertainment and self-reflection.
The finished card can be shared to social stories. Back in the journal are the individual dreams, and the familiar things that kept turning up in them.
