ILJU is a Korean saju app from 87Lab, a one-person studio in Paju, South Korea. Saju is the Korean reading of the Four Pillars: eight letters taken from the year, month, day and hour of birth. ILJU draws that chart and explains it in plain English written for people who have never opened a saju book. Your zodiac animal is read from the year pillar of your own chart rather than from a wall calendar.
The chart, the zodiac animal and the day's scores are free and stay free. Opening the app gives you one smile a day, and one smile opens one written reading; watching an optional rewarded ad earns another. Every day carries its own pair of letters, and ILJU shows how they land on your chart, which markings are firing and what that tends to feel like. Readings cover the whole day with five scores across money, love, health, work and study plus one piece of advice and one caution; the same day from the love, money-and-work and health sides; any past or future date you pick; the month day by day; the year across twelve months; and two people together, with their compatibility and the day between them.
Saju is read from a place as well as a time. ILJU accounts for your longitude, time zone, daylight saving and true solar time before it draws a single letter, so a birth in Lagos, Lima or Leeds gets the chart that belongs to that place and hour. Any word that looks technical is one tap from a plain definition, and the chart screen shows how each conclusion was picked. The chart is computed by the app's own engine; an AI model then writes the reading from what the engine found. Face reading and palm reading from a camera photo sit next to the chart and open on your 18th birthday; the photo is not saved, only the reading.
There are no accounts and no login. Birth details and readings stay on the device; to generate a reading, the birth details are sent to the studio's reading service and on to an AI model hosted on Amazon Bedrock, and are not stored there. Smile packs and a membership that unlocks chart readings are described on Google Play, while the current terms state that this version sells nothing in-app. ILJU is on Google Play for Android, with a browser version that needs no install and an iOS build in review.
