  • A palace reading quotes the Quan Shu line first, then restates it for today in a separate sentence, so the two never blur together.
  • The free chart draws without an account, and the exact-time path adds a birthplace list and a true solar time toggle.
  • Tapping a palace opens its San Fang Si Zheng with the reading grouped into stars, patterns, flying stars, decade luck and layered palaces.
  • The 51-lesson beginner course and the per-star pages are free and need no sign-in.
  • The about page states four things it will not do, including predicting death and selling through fear.

Best for

English readers who want a Zi Wei Dou Shu chart that shows the classical line beside the modern reading, and a free course to learn to read it themselves.

Overview

About Xingge

Xingge draws a Zi Wei Dou Shu chart and then does something most tools skip: it keeps the classical text and the modern reading in separate sentences. A palace reading opens with what the Quan Shu says, quoted as written, and follows with what that tends to mean now. The site states every reading line is checked against the Zi Wei Dou Shu Quan Shu.

The free chart needs no account. You give a Gregorian date, gender, and either a double-hour from the traditional twelve, including early and late Zi, or an exact clock time. Choosing the exact time opens a birthplace list and a true solar time toggle; the site says daylight saving is turned back for you and the chart uses the local clock time where you were born. Birth details stay in the browser and are cleared after 30 days.

The result lays out twelve palaces with their stems and branches, main and auxiliary stars, decade ranges, the Four Pillars, the bureau, and the Life and Body Masters. Current year, decade and month overlays sit above the grid. Tapping a palace opens its San Fang Si Zheng and a reading grouped into this year, the stars present, chart patterns, flying stars, decade luck, layered palaces, minor stars and the twelve spirits. A five-step walkthrough runs on first use, and any term in a palace can be tapped for a plain explanation.

The fourteen main stars plus the Empty Palace are presented as fifteen personas, Zi Wei as The Emperor, Tian Fu as The Steward and so on. The site is explicit that the persona is a memory aid and the star keeps its classical meaning. An about page lists four things it will not do: predict death, diagnose illness, give investment advice, or sell through fear.

Learning material is substantial and free: a beginner course of 51 lessons in nine chapters at about three minutes each, running from the twelve palaces and fourteen main stars through auxiliary stars, the Four Transformations, chart patterns, luck periods and minor stars, plus a page for each main star and a glossary.

Paid items are Ask points and vouchers for the Life Book, Year Book and Compatibility Book, all written by AI from your chart. Ask includes a number of free questions each week; using Ask, the Library and saved charts requires signing in with Google or Apple. Website purchases run through Stripe and are priced in US dollars on the English pages, all one-time with no automatic renewal, refundable within 14 days if none of the points or vouchers have been used.

The site runs in English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese and installs as a progressive web app. A companion mobile app exists but its terms state it is currently available in Chinese only, so the English experience is the website. Xingge is operated by Intellizab LLC, a Wyoming company.
