See the chart before creating an account
The Astro Diary opens with an anonymous birth-chart form for date, time, and city. The result is calculated before signup and is not written to the app database. If the exact time is unknown, the calculator still shows the defensible planetary positions while leaving out the Ascendant, houses, and other time-dependent claims.
Ten public calculators cover a full natal chart, Moon, Rising and Venus signs, a chart without a birth time, and synastry compatibility among other focused questions. They use the same tropical-zodiac defaults as the main app, so the free result is a real entry into the product rather than a short quiz or a lead form.
One chart across daily timing, relationships, and longer cycles
Inside an account, the natal chart combines a wheel with tables for planets, signs, houses, aspects, dignities, lunar nodes, Chiron, and five asteroids. The Today view reads the current sky against the saved chart, while a 21-day timeline, goals, journal, and daily email keep the timing work connected to ordinary life.
The same chart data continues into a 16-section personal report, solar returns, secondary progressions, solar-arc directions, saved people, synastry, and composite charts. AstroBuddy can answer questions about the current user's natal placements, transits, goals, and journal entries through scoped tools. It does not invent planetary positions, and it refuses fixed-event prediction plus medical, legal, and financial advice.
Documented settings, seven languages, and a clear free tier
The methodology names a server-side ephemeris service and documents the chart settings. Placidus is the default house system, with Whole Sign, Koch, Regiomontanus, Campanus, Equal, and Alcabitius available. Tropical is the default zodiac; sidereal settings include Lahiri, Fagan-Bradley, Raman, and Krishnamurti ayanamsas. The official interface is available in English, Bulgarian, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, and Polish.
The free plan includes the saved natal chart, personalized daily sky, a 21-day aspect timeline, unlimited journal and daily email, four chat conversations each month, three journal readings, and two saved people beyond the account owner. Plus adds unlimited deeper chat, full reports, composite readings, and extended interpretations. The listed price is $6.99 monthly or $59 yearly, with a seven-day trial on the annual plan.
Anonymous calculators are not stored in the app database. Account use is different: the privacy policy says email, birth data, saved people, chats, goals, and journal entries are stored to provide the service. Journal text is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and is only read when the user explicitly asks for a journal-based reading. Payments go through Stripe; chart and reading requests may involve the product's ephemeris service and selected OpenAI or Anthropic models.
