Editor note

Last checked August 3, 2026
  • The free calculator exposes the complete chart before any login or AI step, including solar terms, Dun type, Ju, Xunshou, Zhifu, Zhishi, and all nine palaces.
  • Palace details go beyond labels by showing stem relationships, special states, prosperity, 81 patterns, and San Yuan movement clues.
  • The UTC+8 rule is explicit: device time zone, location, longitude, and true solar time do not silently change a manual input.
  • A share link preserves the exact year, month, day, hour, and minute and reproduced the same fixed chart on desktop and mobile.
  • AI interpretation starts only after calculation and continues from the locked chart rather than recasting it during follow-up questions.

Best for

Best for Qimen learners and decision-focused users who want a detailed San Yuan hour chart with an explicit UTC+8 time basis before adding an AI interpretation.

Overview

About QimenMind

Cast a complete Qimen chart before interpretation

QimenMind is a browser-based San Yuan Qi Men Dun Jia calculator built around a chart-first workflow. Choose solar or lunar calendar input, enter a date and minute, and the free tool calculates the solar term, Yin or Yang Dun, Ju number, Xunshou, Zhifu, Zhishi, and all nine palaces without requiring an account.

The chart includes the Eight Gates, Nine Stars, Eight Spirits, Heaven and Earth Stems, Kongwang, Yima, Menpo, Rumu, Jixing, palace strength, and 81-pattern detection. Its San Yuan layer continues into Yuan Shen Gong, Yuan Qi Gong, Tian Yi Gong, Fei Fu, and Jin Tui. Each palace opens into a detail view that connects stem relationships and special states with the rest of the chart.

Every manual chart is treated as China Standard Time, UTC+8. The current-time control also converts the current instant to Beijing time. QimenMind does not silently apply device time zone, geolocation, longitude, or true-solar-time adjustments, so users outside China need to convert the event time before entering it.

The share control puts the selected year, month, day, hour, and minute into the URL. Opening that link on another device recreates the same chart, which is useful for study, comparison, and follow-up discussion.

Optional AI reading stays on the locked chart

AI does not cast the chart. After calculation, a signed-in user can pass the same locked chart into an AI reading for useful-god selection, palace relationships, San Yuan movement, risks, and possible next actions. The first three AI questions are free per account; the site also lists short 1-day and 7-day access passes. The calculator itself remains free and available before login.

FAQ

Is the QimenMind calculator free?

Yes. Complete chart casting and the nine-palace result are free and do not require login. Each account gets its first three AI questions free; further AI use is available through short paid passes.

Which time zone does QimenMind use?

Charts use China Standard Time, UTC+8. Manual inputs are treated as UTC+8 without device-timezone conversion, geolocation, longitude, or true-solar-time correction.

What appears in a generated chart?

The result includes solar term, Yin or Yang Dun, Ju number, Xunshou, Zhifu, Zhishi, the nine palaces, Eight Gates, Nine Stars, Eight Spirits, Heaven and Earth Stems, special states, 81 patterns, and San Yuan clues.

Does AI calculate the Qimen chart?

No. The calculator produces the chart first. AI is an optional later step that interprets useful gods, palace relationships, San Yuan movement, risks, and possible actions from the same locked chart.
