Review the chart and calculation trace first
InsightBaZi accepts a solar or lunar birth date, recorded time, time zone, and optional birth place. If a place is supplied, the calculator uses its longitude and historical daylight-saving setting for true-solar-time normalization; without one, it estimates from the selected time zone's standard meridian. An unknown-time option keeps the available three-pillar information instead of inventing an exact hour.
The free result covers the Four Pillars, hidden stems, Ten Gods, Na Yin, Day Master, Five Elements distribution, luck-cycle starting age, and the sequence of 10-year Da Yun. Longitude offset and Equation of Time are shown in a separate calculation trace, so the birth inputs and chart fields can be reviewed before moving into interpretation.
Calculation rules and AI have separate jobs
The published method uses solar-term boundaries for the month pillar and a 23:00 true-solar-time rollover for the day pillar. The methodology explains those choices as product conventions and notes that other BaZi schools can handle boundary cases differently. A public GitHub reference documents the true-solar-time correction used by the project.
AI enters after the chart has been constructed, turning the Day Master, Five Elements, relationship, career, and timing material into readable prose. InsightBaZi also says plainly that traditional interpretation is not scientifically or empirically validated and should not replace medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice.
Compatibility, timing tools, and optional paid reports
The same site includes a two-person compatibility calculator, a 10-year luck-pillar calculator, personalized auspicious-date tools, and a public sample of the long report. The sample is organized into 12 chapters and 48 detail modules, with chart data, Five Elements, work, relationships, timing, and AI follow-up questions kept in one report.
The core chart is free and requires no registration. Current paid options list a personal report at $14.99, a relationship report at $29.99, and fortune tools at $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year. Reports can be saved and exported, while subscription access renews until cancelled.
Official calculator routes are available in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Thai, and Indonesian. The privacy policy says saved birth details, account profiles, and analyses are used to provide the service; Stripe handles card data, and personal inputs are excluded from Google Analytics.
