Editor note

Last checked July 29, 2026
  • The interface treats a Bazi chart as a visual time system, moving between Four Pillars, a star map, solar terms, lunar phases, and local climate rather than stacking ordinary result tables.
  • Its Blind School and nature-based framework can produce a different structure and emphasis from mainstream charting apps, which makes side-by-side comparison especially interesting.
  • A dense chart can switch to a compact overview, while Renyuan Siling presets, Shensha, and the central information strip remain customizable.
  • Transitions and time-flow animation give the astronomical layer real presence instead of using stars as decoration.
  • Notes can be attached separately to major luck, annual, monthly, and daily layers, and marked-up detail views can be saved to Photos.

Best for

Best for Chinese-speaking Bazi learners and practitioners who want an unusually visual Blind School chart, configurable detail layers, and a long-term archive rather than a one-off reading.

Overview

About 混沌与秩序

A Bazi chart designed as a moving observation surface

Chaos and Order starts with name, gender, birth time, and city, then builds a Blind School Bazi chart with Four Pillars, solar terms, local climate context, lunar phases, celestial positions, and changing time layers. Instead of placing every result in a stack of static tables, the interface moves between a star map, seasonal and astronomical diagrams, the chart structure, and expandable relationship details.

The result follows the app's Blind School and "Dao follows nature" framework, so its structure and emphasis may differ from mainstream Bazi calculators. Users can switch between a dense chart and a cleaner summary, then customize Renyuan Siling presets, Shensha display, and the information strip shown in the compact view.

From the birth chart to long-term records

Major luck cycles, annual, monthly, and daily layers can be opened in sequence and annotated separately. Detail pages include a marking tool whose result can be saved to Photos, while the archive keeps multiple profiles together. Records stay on the device by default, with optional iCloud sync for profiles and settings.

The app is free, contains no advertising or in-app purchases, and is currently available for iPhone on iOS 13 or later.

FAQ

What does Chaos and Order calculate?

It generates a Blind School Bazi chart from birth time and city, then adds solar terms, regional climate, lunar phases, celestial positions, major luck cycles, annual, monthly, and daily layers.

Why can its result look different from other Bazi apps?

The app follows its own Blind School and nature-based framework, with configurable Renyuan Siling, Shensha, and chart information. It is designed for comparison and study rather than claiming that every school should produce the same layout.

Can the chart be simplified or customized?

Yes. Users can switch between detailed and compact layouts, choose from six Renyuan Siling presets or customize them, adjust Shensha display, and choose information for the compact panel.

Where is profile data stored?

Profiles and settings stay on the device by default. Users can optionally enable iCloud sync between their own devices, and the App Store privacy label says the developer does not collect data.
